Welcome
Tigh Bruadair is located on Summer Hill and is a gated property that provides a home for our young adults living independently under supervision in a shared house as well as a separate bungalow named Taigh Garadh.
Our approach
At Tigh Bruadair we promote and encourage the people we support in living life to its fullest, empowering them to recognise themselves as individuals and promote their everyday life choices whilst ensuring they are cared for to the highest of standards.
We have a full activity schedule available for all those who wish to participate, and plenty of space and quiet areas for those who choose not to. Staff fully support equality and diversity and advocacy within both the home and in the community. We promote a healthy lifestyle as well as actively encouraging a healthy approach to nutrition.
We promote community participation in the form of using all available resources that we can access and feel strongly that we have lots to offer in return.
Independence
We encourage the people we support to be as independent as possible by promoting ownership of the home and we pride ourselves on providing a friendly relaxed and calm atmosphere that ensures our individuals feel safe, respected and cared for at all times.
Daily life
The high staffing level at Tigh Bruadair enables the people we support to partake in many everyday activities such as trips to the cinema, bowling and getting involved in the running of the home.
The town of Gainsborough benefits from a newly-built shopping centre, and leisure centre being close by. Gainsborough has all the expected amenities such as a doctor’s surgery, dentist and opticians along with a theatre and plenty of places to eat out and enjoy. It is also closely located to transport links to further towns and cities to help support individuals’ freedom and to become part of a wider community.
